Week 17 - Bog Meadow

On my way home Friday I stopped by Bog Meadow in East Killingly, CT. This pond is behind the house my mom grew up in and I have been stopping by each season to take pictures of the changing vegetation.

Week 17 - a Friday afternoon

Friday, I took a walk in India Point Park in Providence, RI with a friend. It's a nice little park at the meeting of the Seekonk and Providence Rivers - taking it's name from Providence's ties to the shipping trade with the East and West Indies in the 1700's. This was my first time there but it was nice to see people walking dogs, cycling, running, fishing and kids playing. The Brown crew team was also practicing on the river that day.

Week 16 - Light & Bright

These are all from downtown Providence, RI. I have classes at one of the RISD buildings around the corner from here and the light was perfect last week. I like to go shadow finding, especially in the city - you get some really interesting shapes.

The last shot is from Tazza on Westminster Street. They have the a great atmosphere and the food is nice too. I loved how the sun light was hitting the wall.

A few more shots from downtown on Flickr.

Spring blooms

Week 12 - Ordinary Light

A study of light in the home I'm living in.

Week 12 - Mystic

These are from a recent trip to Mystic, CT. Mystic is a cute little old sea faring town. They have a main street full of great shops. At one end is the draw bridge over the Mystic River. Further up the river is the Mystic Seaport, a maritime museum. Mystic also has a nice aquarium too if your visiting. The lunch is a gluten-free pizza (chicken, Gorgonzola, and spinach), a Greek salad and my favorite Izze soda. All from this great little restaurant called Pizzetta, just off the main street.
